Marian Banjo is Southwark Older Volunteer of the Year 2025

Many congratulations to Lady Marian Olabisi Banjo, winner of the Southwark Stars Older Volunteer of the Year award for 2025. Marian has dedicated her time to helping young people and families in Peckham to mend clothes and uniforms free of charge which helps local residents to save money during the cost-of-living crisis. Her award was presented by our Grants Committee Chair, Tim McNally, at the Southwark Stars ceremony at Glaziers Hall on 6 June 2025.

Congratulations also, to Draper Together C.I.O. who won Charity of the Year, and to all the other Southwark Stars winners for their awards.

Southwark Charities has contributed funding to the annual Southwark Stars awards ceremony since 2023.
